Originated from over 40 years of  performing, organizing, collaborating and attending art events and exhibitions, the archival material descends from varied sources and media: photographs, unique original works, rare books, edition materials, time-based video and audio tape, artists ephemera.

Elements of the archive span a time period from the onset of Happenings and Fluxus in the early 1960s, to the present. Original photographs of George Brecht, Robert Filliou, George Maciunas, Shigeko Kubota, Nam June Paik and many others document unique moments in performance history. Examples of rare and unusual materials from historical performances include many sets of concert program easel cards from Fluxus concerts, including those drawn by Dick Higgins for Fluxus & Happenings Friends concert in Quebec, at Le Lieu centre an art actuel in 1998, props and relics, instruction drawings, two 8 foot long canvases from Zen For Head by Nam June Paik, and the hilarious mock-ups for the Reliable Flux Audience who faithfully took seats as filler audience members when attendance was in question.

Artists represented include: George Brecht, Robert Watts, Carolee Schneemann, Hannah Wilke, Alison Knowles, Ben Patterson, Yoko Ono, Yoshi Wada, Philip Corner, Eric Andersen, Ben Vautier and others. Fluxus multiples, newspapers, rare posters and numerous edition objects and unusual documents are present in many forms. Examples below represent the diversity of elements from a larger group.

Archive materials are available for exhibitions, individual purchase and institutional placement.
